Monopoles have distinct advantages over the lattice towers with respect to space, speed of erection, short delivery time and more. The benefit of smaller base installation space, even while rising higher than 40 to 50 m, makes monopoles an eco-friendly alternative as well.
Three types of classification:
- Double circuit mono poles
- Single H frame structure
- Two single circuit mono poles
CONSTRUCTION OF MONO POLES:
here are two types of construction
Slip joints:
Slip joint shall be designed to resist the maximum force and moments at the connection .As the minimum, slip joints shall be designed to resist 50% of Moment capacity of the lower strength tube. Taper above and below the joint shall be the same.
Flanged joints:
Flange joints shall be designed to resist the maximum forces and moments at the connection. As a minimum, slip joints shall be designed to resist 50% of moment capacity of the lowest strength tube. Flexure stress in flange connection shall not exceed specified minimum yields
Monopoles are constructed from High tensile steel conforming to IS 2062 or BSEN 10025 and cut in Trapezoidal shape and folded by pressing to required angle and Welded Longitudinally to form Polygonal section
FOUNTATIONS:
It consist of two parts stability analysis and structural design ,Stability analysis aims at eliminating the possibility of failure and structural design of concrete foundation compromises the design of base
BASE PLATES:
Thees are the elements used to connect the structural members to their foundation they are commenly used in conjunction with tubular high mast poles roadway iight poles and traffic mast arms The base plates connect the sign or light structure to its foundation with the anger bolts using a double nut installation
BASE PLATE MATERIAL:
ASTM A36 clean mild steel FDOT uses galvanised plates consist with ASTM 123 however galvanisation would have no bearing on the outcomes of the experimentation these plates left blacks
WELDING:
Our manufacturing partner M/S Yixing Hauyuan steel pole is used the Australian standards welding code AS/NZS 1554.1 for pole shafts and multi sided tubular cross arms and all accessories and welding wire AS/NZS ISO 18273
GALVANISING:
Our manufacturing company is used in Australian standards AS/NZS4680 for galvanizing pole shafts cross arm and bolted on accessories (hot dip galvanized).For bolts nuts and washers Australian standards of AS/NZS 1214 and for foundation bolts also AS 1217 zinc coating (hot dip)
PAINTING:
For painting Adhesive force our manufacturing partner follows Australian standards AS 1580 for the hardness and impact resistance the same Australian standards AS1580
